Ernesto Presas

Ernesto Presas (20 May 1945 - ) is the founder and grandmaster of the Filipino martial arts system Kombatan. Kombatan is based on the Modern Arnis system, which Ernesto Presas originally developed with his older brother Remy Presas. He also has a younger brother who is involved in the martial arts, Roberto Presas.
He was born in Hinigaran, Negros Occidental, Philippines, the son of Jose B. Presas, a businessman, and the former Lucia Amador, and now lives in Manila, the capital of the Philippines. is the founder and grandmaster of the Filipino martial arts system Kombatan. Kombatan is based on the Modern Arnis system, which was developed by his older brother Remy Presas. Ernesto Presas was involved in this art from the beginning and aided his brother in developing and spreading it. He originally called his own art Modern Arnis also, which led to a tension between the brothers. Since 1999 he has referred to his system as Kombatan.
He also has a younger brother who is involved in the martial arts, Roberto Presas, and is credited as the founder of the Mano-Mano system. He was born in Hinigaran, Negros Occidental, Philippines, the son of Jose B. Presas, a businessman, and the former Lucia Amador, and now lives in Manila.
