Located in Southeast Asia, Thailand was known as Siam until 1939. It is the country of origin for Muay Thai and Krabi Krabong. Home to more than 64 million people, it is bordered by Burma, Cambodia, Laos and Malaysia. Note of interest: Thailand is the only Southeast Asian country never taken over by a European power.
