Bob Hubbard
From MartialTalk Online Martial Arts Encyclopedia Project
Bob spent a decade as an independent contractor, working both on his own and for various agencies in the Western New York and Cleveland, Ohio area before accepting a 2 year stint as an NT Network administrator for a local manufacturer in 2000. In 2002 he devoted himself full time to building SilverStar WebDesigns Inc.
His past businesses have included network marketing, computer game development, computer game publishing, anime product sales, martial arts magazine editing and publishing as well as custom built PC's and parts. He is currently learning 3D animation, video production and advanced Linux concepts.
Martial Arts Contributions
In addition to SilverStar, Bob is also the owner and technical administrator of MartialTalk.com, a leading destination for martial arts enthusiasts on the Internet. Serving over 100,000 visitors monthly, MartialTalk was listed as one of the top 3 martial arts sites by Black Belt Magazine in 2004. In March 2005 Martialtalk.com opened a sister site, KenpoTalk.com focusing on the Kenpo community. Within it's first year, KenpoTalk rose to become one of the leading Kenpo resource sites.
As a service to the Western New York martial arts community, Bob also maintains wnymartialarts.com, a regional portal site and in October 2005 helped launch FMATalk.com, a message board for the Filipino Martial Arts community. He serves as Internet consultant to The Buffalo Martial Arts Council.
